We are currently accepting enrollment for our 2024-2025 school year!
Preschool children enjoy spending time with other youngsters their own age and becoming involved with group activities. Structured educational programs introduce them to basic concepts in language arts, math, science, social studies, and art. We have specifically designed learning centers for individual and group projects that encourage children to make discoveries about themselves, fellow beings and the world we all live in and share. Our staff plans activities for groups as well as for individual children in order to foster their development in all areas.
Pre-kindergarten children exhibit growing physical and intellectual independence made possible by acquired physical skills and complex language. Daily structured educational programs stress language, arts, math, science, social studies, and computer skills. There is an end of the year graduation ceremony as well. Creativity is encouraged and learning experiences presented as a healthy mixture of fun and challenge at our learning center.
We start with a Morning Meeting it helps students feel connected and safe, and sets a positive tone for the day. It is an time for important social interactions among young children. It helps develop positive relationships between kids through engaging and fun activities.
Preschool science is the process of learning about the natural world through observation and experimentation. It involves children engaging with materials to question, explore, investigate, and construct explanations. The process is more important than the results, and the main goals are to channel their curiosity and to foster their investigative skills.
Construction play, also known as constructive play, is a type of play where children use various materials to build or create something. It's a hands-on activity that encourages children to use their creativity, problem-solving skills, and imagination.
Art is a vital part of early childhood education, as it helps children develop their creativity, imagination, and communication skills. It is a way for children to share their perceptions of the world and communicate ideas that are difficult to express verbally.
Community play is a way for preschoolers to learn about the social world and develop social and emotional skills. Children can use their creativity to devise spaces and structures to entertain themselves. Children can act out past and present experiences, such as a new baby in the family or a parent's job.
Outdoor play helps children stay active and develop strong bodies. It also helps them produce vitamin D, which is important for bone and muscle growth, a healthy immune system, and mood stabilization. It can help reduce stress and fatigue. It can also help children develop a deeper connection to nature and an appreciation for the environment.
